What are Grizzly pouches?
Grizzly Tobacco, commonly misspelled as Grizzle Tobacco, is a popular brand of moist tobacco (dip) produced by the American Snuff Company, an operating company of British American Tobacco’s U.S. subsidiary of Reynolds American. 2.1 billion cans of moist smokeless tobacco were sold in the U.S. in 2024 and top-3 brands, Grizzly, Copenhagen (Altria) and Skoal (Altria), command two thirds of the U.S. dip market. However, hit hard by the consumer transition to ZYN and other nicotine pouch products, moist snuff volume is declining by 9% per annum in the U.S. In an attempt to hold on to its consumer base and move them to a more modern, cleaner and spit-free product, Reynolds American launched Grizzly nicotine pouches June 2024. Although Grizzly owns a strong brand equity among the snuff users (“dippers”), ZYN users (“Zynners”) with a relatively younger profile mockingly refer to Grizzly as a “nicotine pouch for the grandpa” – in reference to aging user profile of the brand.

Reynolds American initiated the natiowide expansion of Grizzly nicotine pouches in the second half of 2024 and the brand reached 1% category share by the end of 2024. Each Grizzly can contain 20 nicotine pouches and the Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) is $6.89 a can. Although However Grizzly retails at as low as $5.89 (i.e. a $1 discount to the MSRP) in various online stores, it is still sold at a premium to the market-leader ZYN.

What are Grizzly flavors?
Grizzly spit-free pouches are available in 3 different flavors and only in one nicotine strength (7mg). Below is the list of Grizzly flavors:
| Grizzly Flavors | Flavor Descriptions |
| Wintergreen | A well-balanced, earthy, and natural mint flavor with a mild sweetness |
| Spearmint | A smooth and lightly sweet mint flavor that intensifies during use |
| Peppermint | A bold and invigorating mint flavor, leaving the mouth feeling fresh and revitalized |
Some users find the nicotine strength of Grizzly pouches to be moderate, while others feel the flavor to be relatively mild compared to other brands. Grizzly pouches are slim and lightweight, weighing approximately 0.4 grams each. They have a dry texture, which allows for a gradual and long-lasting release of nicotine and flavor. However, some users note that the dryness can make the pouches feel less comfortable under the lip.
Grizzly Marketing
In January 2025, Grizzly nicotine pouches announced a partnership with Kaulig Racing, serving as the primary sponsor for Ty Dillon’s No. 10 Chevrolet in nine NASCAR Cup Series races during the 2025 season. As part of their NASCAR sponsorship, Grizzly Nicotine Pouches and Kaulig Racing featured The Fallen Outdoors organization on the No. 10 Chevrolet. This non-profit organizes outdoor adventures for veterans, Gold Star families, and active-duty service members, in an attempt to demonstrate the brand’s commitment to supporting the veteran community.

Subsequently, Kaulig Racing announced an expansion of its partnership with Grizzly Nicotine Pouches for the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season. Grizzly Nicotine Pouches will become the primary sponsor on Kaulig Racing’s No. 16 Chevrolet with driver AJ Allmendinger for four NASCAR Cup Series races. Kaulig Racing’s Ty Dillon debuted the Grizzly Nicotine Pouches partnership at the 2025 Daytona 500 as part of a nine-race sponsorship.

In January 2026, NASCAR announced a new partnership with Grizzly Nicotine Pouches, as the brand becomes an Official Partner for NASCAR and all NASCAR-owned racetracks, including the naming rights for racetrack campgrounds – placing Grizzly Nicotine Pouches at the center of the communal parts of the race-weekend experience. Grizzly Nicotine Pouches will have a presence across NASCAR-owned track campgrounds, creating opportunities for the brand to interact with NASCAR fans.
Also in January 2026, Grizzly Nicotine Pouches significantly expanded its sponsorship role with Kaulig Racing for the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season. The expanded program follows earlier sponsorship involvement in 2025 and continues the brand’s presence in top-level stock car racing.

The partnership will feature Grizzly Nicotine Pouches’ branding on both cars and debut with new paint schemes as the Cup Series opens its 2026 schedule. The arrangement reflects deeper collaboration between the tobacco-free nicotine product maker and the race team, building on prior engagements and offering extended exposure in high-profile NASCAR events.
