June 2025: Global pipe tobacco sales, outside China, reached $7.5 billion in 2024
In 2024, global pipe tobacco sales, outside China, reached 128,000 tons – down 0.4% year-on-year basis. Top-3 markets, Egypt (36,000 tons), Saudi Arabia (23,000), and Iraq (18,000), generated 60% of the total global sales volume. Sales revenue grew +5.4% to $7.46 billion. The U.S. ($1.85 billion) and Saudi Arabia ($1.6 billion) were the leading markets in terms of retail turnover – accounting for 46% of global sales. Average global retail price was up +5.8% to $5.8 for a 100-gr pipe tobacco pouch.
